Breaking News – Twitter Deals with Google and Microsoft
You now have another reason to use Twitter. Google and Microsoft’s Bing Search Engine have been given access to all non-private tweets.
What that means, is that what you tweet about will become part of the search results from both Yahoo and Bing.
Both Google and Bing have been envying the speed with which new information appears on Twitter. If you want the very latest news, you go to Twitter or Facebook, not to Google or Bing.
Microsoft recently reached a deal with both Twitter and Facebook for access to their posts. Now Google is getting into the act. Bing has a beta version of a search for Twitter. Google’s search results for Twitter will be available beginning sometime in the next couple of months.
If you haven’t read my previous posts about Twitter, you can find them in the Twitter Archive.
I’ll be back to email news tomorrow. Thanks for reading and please offer your comments from the No Comments/Comments link below.
