Twitter Usage Tools – Foller.me
This is amazing!! I don’t say this lightly. I am not given to hyperbole. But this tool gives you the most interesting and easy to access information about twitter users. You can find out immediately if they are tweeting about topics that interest you.
You type in a Twitter user’s name (their Twitter handle) and you can instantly learn a lot about them. First is a tag cloud. For those who don’t know this terminology, this is a block of words or terms where the ones most frequently used or most popular are sized larger by level of importance.

In the next section, you can see what #hashtag topics (topics that are # marked for ease of searching and collating) the member is tweeting and who they are mentioning in their tweets.

The thing that really grabbed me was this – a world map with the Twitter users followers marked on the map. I was amazed to see where all my followers live…truly international. The map is repeated on four screens so there is room to see the tags and click on them to see who they are. WOW!~

Okay – it’s the beta version and the final screen shot is not currently working. In it, you can see a graph of the growth of the user’s follower numbers. Not quite as exciting as the map but gives you some idea of their history.
